Charles E. Hamilton Jr., 75 of Columbus died at 8:20 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2013 at his home.
Mr. Hamilton retired in 2003 from Standens LTD, Calgary, Alberta, Canada as Director of U.S. Sales for Truck Trailer Manufacturing.
He owned and operated a Standard Oil Gas Station before beginning a career in sales and sales management.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Hilton Lodge, Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite and Murat Shrine; and a past member of SSA, TMA and Truck and Trailer Maintenance Council.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with the Dr. Daniel Cash officiating.
Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to time of service Tuesday at the church.
Cremation is planned and inurnment will be at a later date in Alabama.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or First Baptist Foundation.

Born in Red Bay, Alabama on June 9, 1937, grew up in nearby Russellville, Ala., the son of Charles E. and Lillie M. Huffman Hamilton Sr.
He married Shirley A. Hancock Hamilton on November 2, 1956.
Survivors include his wife Shirley A. Hamilton; children, Barry (Cheryl) Hamilton of Loveland, Ohio, Brad (Shelly) Hamilton of Kokomo, Greg (Allison) Hamilton of Lake Orion, Mich., and Vicki (Richard) Harvey of Logansport; sister, Delores Dill of Melbourne, Fla., and 15 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Calvin Maher.
