Pauline Smith, 81, of Seymour, formerly of Brown County, died at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013, at her home.
Mrs. Smith worked at Arvin Industries on 17th Street in Columbus, retiring after 35 years of service. She enjoyed garage saling and flower gardening.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Jean Pogue officiating. Family and friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until service time Monday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or the Alzheimer's Association.

Born in Hope November 11, 1931, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of Herod A. and Agnes Hartwell Black. She married James Alvin "Iggie" Smith December 20, 1947. He preceded her in death March 5, 2002.
Survivors include children, Willie (Cindy) Black of Seymour, Alice (Dale) Dooley of Commiskey, and Evelyn (Orville) Followell of Seymour; grandchildren, Shannon (Jeremy) Longbrake, Heidi (Ryan) Black, Melissa Gater, Eric (Tina) Raes, Matthew Followell, and Patrick (Nicki) Followell; great-grandchildren, Heather, Kylie, Jamie, Caliph, Cassi, Mason, Peyton, Clayton, Blake, Abby, and Emmy; a sister, Delores Collier of Taylorsville; and brothers, Joseph Black of Morgantown and Bill Black of Kentucky.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, and five brothers.
