Dana Lynn Parmerlee, 61, of Whiteland, Indiana, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus, Indiana.
A lifelong resident of Whiteland, he was born October 9, 1951, in Franklin, Indiana, to Dale and LaDeama (Essex) Parmerlee. He married Charlotte (Hubbard) Parmerlee on March 16, 1974, in Bicknell, Indiana. She survives.
Mr. Parmerlee began farming at the age of 14 with his father, east of Whiteland. He was a member of Johnson County Farm Bureau and was a longtime member of Whiteland Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte (Hubbard) Parmerlee of Whiteland; a daughter, Amanda Anderson (Daniel) of Acton; a son, Alan Parmerlee of Noblesville; grandchildren, Dana Anderson and John Anderson; sisters, Connie Ray and Roberta Parmerlee, both of Hope; four nieces; and several great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The Reverend Mark Felber will conduct a service Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin. Friends may call Tuesday, May 14, 2013, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 5635 W. 96th St., Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278.
