Jameasyn Laedyn Michael Crider, 5-month-old son of Ashlea Crider and Michael Shuffitt of Columbus, died at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Columbus Regional Hospital Emergency Room. He was born in Columbus Nov. 19, 2012.
Jameasyn was a very happy baby who always had a smile. He was comforted when he sucked his thumb and could feel the hair of whoever was holding him. He loved his big brothers.
The funeral will be conducted at 5 p.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. F. Doran Chambers officiating. Family and friends may call from 3:30 p.m. until service time Monday. Cremation will follow the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American SIDS Institute.

Survivors include his parents; brothers, Blaise and Hunter Crider of Columbus; a half sister, Dallicia Scott of Waynesville; grandparents, Mark and Karen Crider of Columbus; and great-grandparents, Lois M. Perry of Clearwater, FL, and Veva Newsom of Columbus.
Jameasyn was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Lawrence and Alice Crider, Leo C. Perry, and Charles Newsom.
