Woodrow T. "Woody" Curry, 96, of Washington Street, passed from this life at 7:55 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2013, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mr. Curry worked in the body shop business for many years. His longest tenure was with Nichols Body Company. He also was a farmer, did cement work and also did home improvements.
Woody was a member of Columbus Elks Club and Columbus Moose Lodge, attended The Ridge and enjoyed his daily morning trip to McDonald's to be with the guys.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday. Entombment will be at Garland Brook Mausoleum.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or Columbus Moose Lodge.

Born in Brown County, May 3, 1917, Mr. Curry was the son of Thomas E. and Margaret L. Wilkerson Curry. He married Wanda L. Roberts September 23, 1937.
He is survived by his wife of 75 years; daughters, Carolyn Hiott and Kathryn Mount, both of Columbus; a grandson, Mark (Cindy) Conrad of Columbus; a great-grandson, Josh Conrad of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Curry was preceded in death by his parents; two grandsons, Gary and Steve Mount; four sisters; and eight brothers.
