Shaun McClanahan, age 31, of Cincinnati, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Jewish Hospital, after a courageous battle with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He was born March 17, 1982, in Middletown, OH, to Larry and Teresa McClanahan.
Shaun served our country in the Marine Corps during peacetime and received an honorable discharge. An avid history buff, he was a history major at the University of Cincinnati and enjoyed collecting history memorabilia.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Louis Andres; paternal grandfather, Russell McClanahan; a son, Wyatt Keith McClanahan; and an uncle, Tim Andres.
Survivors include his parents, Larry and Teresa McClanahan of Columbus, IN; a sister, Erin Marie McClanahan of Columbus, IN; fiancée, Jennifer Hunsberger of Cincinnati; maternal grandmother, Marlene Andres of Middletown; and paternal grandmother, Mattie McClanahan of Middletown.
A receiving of friends will be held Thursday, May 23, 2013, from 6:00 to7:00 p.m. at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home in Middletown. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family requests no flowers, but memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 1311 Manaroneck Avenue, Suite 310, White Plains, NY 10605.
