Robert A. “Bob” Piskie, 76, longtime resident of Columbus, passed away last Saturday morning, May 18, 2013.
Survivors include a brother, Larry (Colette) Piskie, and a sister, Mary Lou (Gary) Dahl, both of Marengo, IL; daughters, Susan Lauermann of Hanover, MA, Lauren (Chris) McDevitt of Richmond, VA, Holly Piskie of Royal Oak, MI, and Julie Moss of Columbus, IN; a son, Michael (Megan) Piskie of Royal Oak, MI; grandsons, Scottie Lauermann, Sean McDevitt, Henry and William Piskie, and Blake Moss; and granddaughters, Sarah Lauermann, Caitlyn and Caroline McDevitt, and Brooke Moss.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman August Piskie and Elda Lucille Smith Piskie, and brother, Donald (Pat) Piskie, all of Marengo, IL.
Bob attended Marengo Community High School in Marengo, IL, and received B.A. and M.B.A. degrees in Economics from the University of Illinois. He retired from Cummins Inc. with 35 years of service.
He has been a dear friend of Bill Wilson since 1981.
Friends and relatives will gather for the calling to take place on Thursday, May 30, 2013, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home, located at 3855 25th Street, Columbus, IN. Services Friday, May 31, include calling from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at The Ridge, 2800 Bonnell Road, Columbus, IN. Private entombment will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
