Leon Connor, 56, of Columbus, died at 5:05 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
He was born March 25, 1957 in Franklin, the son of Thomas Connor and Betty Fleener Connor, who survive. He married Renee Burnett in Columbus on April 21, 2007, and she survives.
Leon had worked for Perma Wick. He enjoyed camping, NASCAR and coaching baseball.
He is survived by his wife of Columbus; his mother, Betty Fleener Cox of Greenwood; his father, Thomas (Mary) Connor of Nashville; a son, Keenan Connor of Kentucky; daughters, Calli Connor of Greenwood and Brittany Watts of Columbus; sisters and brothers, Joey, Sherri and Debbie; and a grandson, Cayden Harper of Columbus; and a stepfather, Joe (Nancy) Cox of Greenwood.
A gathering of family and friends will take place Monday from noon until 3 p.m. at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street. in keeping with Leon's wishes, cremation is planned.
