Bertha Perkinson Bradley, 91, of Columbus, died at 3:45 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
She was born December 30, 1921, in Harlan, Ky., the daughter of the late Sanders and Gracie Hall Gibson. She married Charles Perkinson and later Arthur Bradley.
She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Perkinson Winters of Columbus; a son, Rick (Dixie) Perkinson of Columbus; a daughter; five stepchildren; grandchildren, Randy Winters, Zach Winters, Barry Winters, Julia Oltman, Rebekah Perkinson, Jamie Knight, Shelby Perkinson, Jessica Davise, and Jay Perkinson; 11 stepgrandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 19 stepgreat-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; six stepgreat-great-grandchildren; sisters, Edith Stutsman of Columbus and Wanda Goodin of Austin; and a daughter-in-law, Judy Perkinson.
Bertha was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Charles Perkinson and Arthur Bradley; a son, Jim Perkinson; brothers, Edward Gibson and Steve Gibson; a sister, Lena Stewart; and a stepchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Aigner officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Bertha retired from Cummins Engine Company. She was a member of East Columbus United Methodist Church for approximately 55 years and one of her greatest loves was her church and her church family. She was a Hospice volunteer for many years.
