Mr. Donald G. “Don” Redicker, age 79, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, after a four-month illness.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Elks Lodge No. 462 for 40 years. Don was a sports fanatic and loved to watch his grandchildren participate in all their events. He was an IHSAA football and basketball official for 20 years and was involved in the formation of the Little League in Seymour where he coached for 20 years.

He served from 1955 to 1957 in the United State Army and had been employed in sales at Hoosier Parts Warehouse.

Born March 18, 1934, in Wegan, IN, Don was the son of Henry and Bernice Terkhorn Redicker. He married Bernadine Lewis July 6, 1957, in Seymour.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother-in law, Mike Thieman, and a niece, Lori Fravel.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Steve (Dana) Redicker and Mark (Mary) Redicker; a daughter, Kris (John) Slevin; two sisters, Carol Fravel and Nancy Thieman; eight grandchildren, Steve (Alexa) Redicker Jr., Ashley (Justin) Redicker House, Megan Redicker, Allison Redicker, Madelyn Roark, Lance Roark, Maddison Slevin, and Katie Roark; and two great-grandchildren, Kaylynn Schafer and Maxwell Redicker.

Visitation will be at Voss Chapel on Sunday, June 9, from 1 to 5 p.m. and on Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Funeral services will be on Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Ralph Blomenberg, the Rev. Philip Bloch, and Vicar Joe Barlau officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery with a Voss Dove Release.
