Rosa L. Ruffinen, 84, of Newark, Delaware, died at 6:04 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2013, at the home of her son, Mark Zen Ruffinen of Timbercrest Drive.
Rosa was a homemaker and a member of Citizen Band Pottawatomie Nation. She was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Patrick Galligar officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to time of service Friday. Inurnment will be at a later date in Delaware.

Born June 9, 1929, in Enid, Oklahoma, Rosa was the daughter of William and Lillian Allen Helcel.
Survivors include her children, Scott (Tess) Ruffinen of Randolph, MA, Mark (Regina) Zen Ruffinen of Columbus, Susan Zen-Ruffinen of Newark, DE, Eric (Gie) Zen-Ruffinen of Lowell, MA, Kurt (Rhonda) Zen-Ruffinen of Winslow, AR, and Craig Zen-Ruffinen of Winslow, AR; a brother, Leroy (Doralena) Helcel of West Memphis, AR; a sister, Mary Kee of West Memphis, AR; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Victor J. Ruffinen in 1995; and three brothers.
