Terri Giles, 57, of Columbus, died at 9:48 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2013, at her home.
Mrs. Giles was of the Baptist faith and was a former employee of Amos-Hill in Edinburgh. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her dog, Puppy, and collecting McDonald's toys.
Funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday at Whosoever Will Community Church, 623 S. Eisenhower Drive, Edinburgh, with the Rev. Lewis Burton officiating. Calling will be from 3 p.m. until service time Monday at the church.
Arrangements were made by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.
Born in Milton, Ky., Sept. 18, 1955, Mrs. Giles was the daughter of Herbert Purvis and Rosemary Jones Purvis.
She is survived by sons, Jerry Cowan of Columbus and Dustin Cowan of Edinburgh; a daughter, Angela Wade of Columbus; grandchildren, Shyla Whitfield, Shelby Whitfield, Keenan Whitfield, Camden Whitfield, Teagan Cowan, Jessen Cowan and Nathaniel Cowan; brothers, Kevin and Donnie Purvis of Columbus, Mike Purvis of Edinburgh and Gary Purvis of Kentucky; and sisters, Linda Compton and Martha Purvis of Columbus, Kim Garcia of Taylorsville and Sandy Handlen of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Doug Purvis.
