Daniel Scott Fear, 39, of Briar Ridge Way, went to be with the Lord at 11 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2013, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Daniel was employed at kidscommons and was formerly employed at Gateway and Stonebelt. He graduated from Columbus North High School in 1992 and Indiana State University in 1997. He attended First Baptist Church, was an Eagle Scout, enjoyed playing softball and watching all sports.
The most important thing to him was being a father, watching his daughters grow and being involved in their lives and activities.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Dr. Daniel Cash officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to time of service Wednesday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Born in Columbus, December 7, 1973, Daniel was the son of Robert H. and Diana C. Schaefer Fear. He married Christy R. Bushong on July 19, 1997.
Survivors include his wife, Christy, and their children, Sabrina, Madelyn and Claire Fear, all of Columbus; his parents, Robert H. and Diana C. Fear of Columbus; a brother, Matthew (Desirae) Fear of Franklin; and a grandmother, Sarah "Betty" Schaefer of Columbus.
