Walter M. Krassick, 81, of Columbus, died at 7:34 a.m. Monday, July 1, 2013, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Walter was formerly employed at Schwitzer Corporation, Cummins Engine Company and Skillman Corporation. He was a member of St. Malachy Catholic Church in Brownsburg.
A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 11a.m. Saturday at St. Malachy Catholic Church in Brownsburg with Father Paul Koetter officiating. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to time of the service Saturday at the church.
A graveside inurnment service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Malachy Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Hendricks County Honor Guard.
Arrangements were made by Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 East 17th Street, Columbus, IN 47201, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, July 14, 1931, Walter was the son of Walter F. and Anna M. Leininger Krassick. He married Mary E. Knust on February 11, 1956.
Survivors include his wife; children, Michael (Sherri) Krassick of Cullman, Alabama, and Lisa (Clayton) Adams of Zionsville; and grandchildren, Stephen Krassick, Maria Krassick, John Paul Krassick, Casey Adams and Kayley Adams.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He will be remembered for his outspokenness, never deleting the facts.
