Betty J. Bryant, 73, of Edinburgh, died at 9:21 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at her home.
Betty retired after 19 1/2 years of employment from United Technologies in Edinburgh. She was a member of Edinburgh Wesleyan Church.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, and witnessing and worshiping the Lord.
Betty was born March 26, 1940 in Bartholomew County, the daughter of Samuel O. and Juanita M. Clark Johnson. She married Charles W. Bryant October 5, 1957. He preceded her in death May 27, 2008.
Survivors include children, Randy K. Bryant of Columbus, Mike D. (Sharon) Bryant and Ja-Vonda Bryant Brown, both of Edinburgh and Debbie Smith of Columbus; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson and all the children and grandchildren she claimed.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Charles J. "Butch" Bryant; grandsons, Brandon L. and Randall Jacob Bryant and Samuel Ryan Smith; a great-grandson, Braylon Cash Brown Morphew; a sister, Jo-Ann Johnson and a son-in-law, Tony Smith.
The funeral will be a 11 a.m. Saturday at Whosoeverwill Community church, 623, S. Eisenhower Drive in Edinburgh, with the Revs. Larry Biddle and Terry England officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9:30 a.m. Saturday, both at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.
