Aline B. Ballard, 84, of Central Avenue, died at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
She was a homemaker, a member of Jewell Village Separate Baptist Church and enjoyed shopping and being with family.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. J.B. Wilson and Don Ison officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to time of service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Born in Park City, Kentucky, March 13, 1929, Mrs. Ballard was the daughter of Woodson and Ruth Oller Jackman. She married Horace G. Ballard September 9, 1944. He preceded her in death November 26, 1997.
Survivors include her children, Horace G. (Sue) Ballard Jr. of Columbus, Vicki (Dennis) Denney of Yorktown, Patricia (Sam) Dooley of Columbus and Richard (Angie) Ballard of Greensburg; a brother, Leslie (Clara) Jackman of Columbus; sisters, Sue Phelps of Bowling Green, KY, Dolly Bohannan of Frankfort, KY, and Judy (Joe) Bryant of Frankfort, KY; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, William and Jimmy Jackman and Joe Bohannon; sons, Rondal E. and Robert Lee Ballard; a grandson, Rondal Lee Ballard; and a daughter-in-law, Debbie Ballard.
