Paul L. Hubbard, 93, of Columbus, died at 8:50 a.m. Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Silver Oaks Health Campus.
Paul was born September 28, 1919, in Bartholomew County, to the late William and Effie Alma Davis Hubbard. He married Ruth L. Land June 17, 1939. She preceded him in death January 10, 1997. He later married Alma June Baker Harcourt December 4, 2004.
He retired from Cummins Engine Company in 1982 after 36 years of service. Paul was a member of First Christian Church, Exchange Club and CREAK Club and was a former member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Paul had a vast knowledge of our community and enjoyed fishing.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Dan Wallace and Richard Land officiating. Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Paul is survived by his second wife, Alma June Hubbard; his grandchildren, Nicole Smith of Washington D.C., Christopher (Cindy) Hubbard of Spokane, WA, and Adam (Tracey) Hubbard of Seattle, WA; and seven great-grandchildren.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, William and Effie Alma Hubbard; his wife of 50 years, Ruth L. Hubbard; a son, Ronald Ray Hubbard; and three brothers, Oren, Otto and Bill Hubbard.
