Linda C. Holley, 64, of Columbus, retired from Cosco Dorel. She loved the Lord, God’s word and the church. She considered all of her friends at church part of her family and she will one day meet them again. She made mistakes and repented of her sins, Romans 3:23 and Romans 10:9. She was a compassionate loving person who enjoyed gospel singing, cooking, reading, camping and fishing.
She was born in Bartholomew County December 19, 1948, the daughter of Harley J.E. and Mable Irene Howard Ayers. She died at 7:56 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013.
Survivors include her husband, David P. Holley of Columbus; a son, Vincent P. (Nancy) Holley of North Vernon; daughters, Stacey C. (Charlie) Holley Hyatt of Franklin and LaDonna Irene Holley of Columbus; grandchildren, Seannastashia C. Allen of Franklin, Sterling (Sara) Allen of Indianapolis, Carrie England of Columbus, Charissa, Vincent and Rebeckia Holley of North Vernon; great-grandchildren, Gwendolyn Sophia Adams, Aubrey England and Serenity Ruth Metcalfe Allen; and sisters, Edna Ayers Mullis and Martha Ayers Menges , both of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Richard, Harold, James, Danny and Robert Ayers; and a sister, Doris Ayers.
A memorial service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Parkside Baptist Church. Dr. William Bailey will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to service time Saturday. Private inurnment will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
