Alice Faye Cowan, 75, of Seymour, died at 5:36 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, at her home.
Mrs. Cowan was a 1955 graduate of Edinburgh High School and a member of Mountain Baptist Church in Seymour. She retired in 2001 from Como Plastics in Columbus and enjoyed spending time with her family, bowling and playing bingo.
Funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Mountain Baptist Church, 4604 N. U.S. 31, Seymour, with calling from 4 p.m. until service time. A second service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, with calling from 9 a.m. until service time. The Rev. Van Breeding will officiate. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.

Born in Taylorsville Oct. 2, 1937, Mrs. Cowan was the daughter of Floyd S. Cottrill and Mabel Malson Cottrill. She married James Junior Cowan Oct. 15, 1955. He preceded her in death Feb. 20, 1988.
Survivors include a son, James (Tasha) Cowan of Seymour; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Marion and Bobby G. Cottrill; and a sister, Hazel Slevins.
