Andrew Bentley Beam, 79, of North Vernon, died at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Shouse Beam; two sons, Curtis Beam of Toledo, Ohio, and Rick (Inez) Shouse of San Jacinto; four daughters, Brenda (Gerry) Lauderbaugh of Dupont, Caryn (Lyman) Vogel-Jenkins of North Vernon, Patsy (Mark) Shouse of Vevay, and Debbie Zollman of Madison; four brothers, Chester Beam of North Vernon, John Beam of Seymour, Dale Beam of Martinsville, and Roy Beam of California; five sisters, Anna Beam, Wilma Graper and Clara Clark, all of North Vernon, Barb Trowbridge of Commiskey, and Christina Jacobson of Wisconsin; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sue Beam, and a son, Craig Beam.
Funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with the Rev. Anthony Sweeney officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service Friday. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to First Christian Church in North Vernon or the American Cancer Society.
