Curtis L. Stiening, 86, of North Vernon, died at 4:45 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at Silver Oaks Health Campus in Columbus.
Funeral will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service in North Vernon, with the Rev. Connie Barr officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until service time Wednesday. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Bear Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Stiening is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Wilds Stiening; a son, James W. Stiening of North Vernon; four stepchildren, Cindy York and Gary, Greg and Cheryl Wilds; a sister, Ruth Potter of Madison; a brother, Royce Stiening of North Vernon; 16 stepgrandchildren; and 14 stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Irmgard Andersohn Stiening, and a son, Michael Stiening.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to New Bethel United Methodist Church.
