Jennifer Lee Wilson , 35, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013, in Shelbyville. She was a resident of Columbus.
She was born June 23, 1978, in Beech Grove, Indiana, to Pamela J. (Nickens) Wilson and James W. Wilson.
She is survived by her 15-year-old son, Austin Cole Wilson of Quincy, Indiana; parents, Pamela and James Wilson of Quincy, Indiana; a sister, Sandra Lee (Terry) Caplinger of Franklin; a brother, James W. “Jim” (Teresa) Wilson II of Poland, Indiana; two nephews; one niece; two great-nephews; and her best friend, Carla Carter.
She was preceded in passing by her maternal grandfather, William Nickens.
A 1996 graduate of Franklin Central High School, she was employed by Dorel Juvenile Group in Columbus and enjoyed singing. She had a passion for and was active in helping women’s causes and was an advocate for women who were victims of domestic abuse.
A celebration of Jeni’s life will be conducted Friday, August 30, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call on Thursday, August 29, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, Indiana.
