Janet Romaine Scott Davers, 71, of North Vernon, has died. God called his angel home at 8:35 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2013, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Impatient Facility.
She was born in Johnson County, August 14, 1942, the daughter of the late Wallace C. Scott and Lula Slevins Scott. She married Steve C. Davers.
In addition to her husband of 25 years, she is also survived by sons, Mark A. (Debbie) Goodin of Terre Haute; James D. Davers of Jonesville and Damon D. Davers of North Vernon; daughters, Deborah K. (Marino) Caraballo of Indianapolis and Lynetta K. (Michael) Porter of North Vernon; a sister, L. Sue (Carlos) Rooks of Largo, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Charlotte J. (Leon) Ross of Seymour; grandchildren, Cody O. Goodin, Nathan T. Goodin, Nicole M. Goodin, Michael S. Porter, James O. Porter, Autumn D. Booth, Kacy D. Supple, Riley E. Canner, Anthony M. Caraballo, Amanda D. Caraballo, Noah J. Davers, Camron L. Davers, Damon D. Davers II, Jordan E. Davers and Steven C. Davers III; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley G. Leonard and husband Ernie; a grandson, W. Levi Miller; and brother-in-laws, Robert A., Jack W., and Jimmy D. Davers.
She was a 1960 graduate of Edinburgh High School, and was of the Baptist faith. She retired in 2002 from Rockwell Automation, Reeves Plant in Columbus after 35 years of service.
Her husband, children and grandchildren were her life and loved by her. She enjoyed working in her yard, flowers and birds.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association through the funeral home.
