Lyla "Jo" Stasney passed away into her Lord and Savior's loving arms on September 8, 2013, in Columbus.
Mrs. Stasney was a homemaker and a member of East Columbus United Methodist Church.
A private family graveside service will be held Friday at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo, TX. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday (CT) at First United Methodist Church in San Angelo, with Rev. Charles Aigner officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to East Columbus United Methodist Church, 2439 Indiana Ave., Columbus, IN 47201.
Johnson's Funeral Home in San Angelo is handling arrangements in Texas.
Local arrangements were made by Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home.

Born in San Angelo, TX, October 25, 1923, Mrs. Stasney was the daughter of Guilford Marion Cade Massey and Nora Villa Ault Massey. She married Bill Stasney June 17, 1941. He preceded her in death February 10, 1986.
She is survived by a daughter, Nita Basey of Columbus, with whom she made her home the last six years; a son, Billy Lee Stasney of Dallas, TX; two grandchildren, Jerry Hunt and Chris Hunt, both of Columbus; and a brother, Tom C. (Pat) Massey of San Angelo, TX.
Mrs. Stasney was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and seven siblings.
