Stephen H. Boccia, 43, of Sunset Court, died at 12:56 p.m. Monday, September 9, 2013, at his home.
Stephen was employed at Developmental Services Inc. as a warehouse associate. He was member of First Lutheran Church, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge and Arc of Bartholomew County. He had participated in the Special Olympics since 1986 and enjoyed Bible study, playing the guitar, singing, wrestling, and the Indianapolis Colts.
He was a hard worker and loved his family.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church, 3600 25th Street, Columbus, IN 47203, with Pastor Larry Isbell officiating. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street and from 10 a.m. to time of the service Saturday at the church. Members of Columbus Moose Lodge will conduct a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or First Lutheran Church.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, January 17, 1970, Stephen was the son of Ronald F. and Kathleen Rayburn Boutell.
Survivors include his parents, of Columbus; a brother, Brian A. (Monica) Boccia of North Vernon; sisters, Kelly A. Boccia of North Vernon, Connie (Hank) Fernatt of Lakewood, OH, Wendy (Rick) Frasso of Berea, OH, Kym Boutell of Lakewood, OH, and Shelly Nelson of Lakewood, OH; and his best friend, Nancy Smith of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Hoyt Rayburn and Robert Roark; and grandmothers, Sarah Rayburn and Evelyn Roark.
