Gary L. Boggs, 59, of North Vernon, died at 12:50 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2013 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Gary was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and an auto body technician for more than 35 years.
An outdoorsman, Gary's hobbies included camping, target shooting and riding motorcycles.
The funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Luke Erb officiating. Full military honors will be presented by the Bartholomew County Veterans Color Guard.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Wednesday.
In keeping with Gary's wishes, cremation will take place following the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Born in Bartholomew County October 8, 1953, Mr. Boggs was the son of Elza Eugene and Lois Curtis Boggs. He married Teresa Spaulding November 3, 1989.
Gary is survived by his wife of 23 years; a son, Daniel (Kara) Fields of Grove City, Ohio; grandchildren, Tyler and Julia Fields of Grove City, Ohio; a sister, Martha (Hubert) Johnson of Columbus; and a special nephew, Tim Boggs of North Vernon.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Francis and James Boggs.
