Ethan Powell, 10, of Edinburgh, went to be with Jesus Sept. 20, 2013, after an unfortunate accident.

Born Sept. 12, 2003, in Indianapolis, Ethan loved being a part of his fourth-grade class at East Side Elementary School in Edinburgh. He played baseball and basketball, loved the outdoors and reading. He was a great big brother, son, and friend. He loved Jesus and grew up as a part of College Park Church.

Ethan will be loved and remembered by his parents, Jason and Erin Powell; his brother, Deacon (age 8) and sisters, Laurel (age 4) and Jacqui ( age 3); grandparents, Steven and Judiane Burton, Randy amd Barbara Powell; and great-grandparents, Jacquelyn Dobbins, Norma Burton, Elizabeth Duncan, and Bill and Eva Powell. He was a beloved nephew of Uncle Drew Burton, Uncle Boog (Dustin Powell), Aunt Rachel and Aaron Carlisle.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 25, from 5 to 8 p.m. at College Park Church, 2606 W. 96th St., Indianapolis, IN 46268. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, at the church.

Private burial will be at Liberty Cemetery in Mitchell, IN.
