Idamae (Carroll) Ford, 88, of Columbus, died at 4:30 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2013, at Willow Crossing Health & Rehabilitation Center.Mrs. Ford was born October 4, 1924, in Indianapolis, IN, the daughter of the late Thomas Henry and Ethal Marie (Norris) Carroll. She married Fred Paul Ford June 17, 1966, in Nashville, IN, and he survives.
Surviving with her husband of 47 years is a son, Donald E. (Anita Marie) Davis of Columbus, IN.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gordon Thomas Carroll.
Mrs. Ford retired from Arvin Industries where she was a machine operator. She was a member of Ogilville Christian Church and the Columbus Chapter Order of Eastern Star and enjoyed making porcelain dolls.
The funeral service celebrating Mrs. Ford's life will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, October 4, 2013, at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street, with Pastor Martin Wright officiating. Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
