Wanda Jean "Deanie" Kirgan, age 72, of Edmonton, Ky., passed away October 2, 2013, in North Vernon, Indiana. She was born November 9, 1940, the daughter of the late Clyde and Goldie Cross.
Mrs. Kirgan was a homemaker and member of Valley Chapel Baptist Church.
She is survived by two granddaughters, Tabitha Emerick of Hope and Christine Moore of Edmonton; two sisters, Lois Fields of Edmonton and Shirley Schaefer of Hope; four great-grandchildren, Kacey and Alexa of Hope and Kyersten and Destiny of Edmonton; three nephews, Gary Gearlds and Petey Fields of Edmonton and Tim Cross of Hope.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Maxie Kirgan; a son, William "Billy" Gearlds; a brother, Leroy Cross; and a nephew, David Cross.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and after 9 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
