Robert M. "Bob" Bozell, 93, of Columbus, died at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, at his home.
Robert retired from Arvin Industries in 1982. He was a member of Old Union United Church of Christ, Edinburgh, IN, and the American Legion.
A veteran of World War II, he served with the U.S. Army Tank Corps and was awarded five Bronze Stars.
Funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home, with Pastor Kirby Rupp officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Butlerville Cemetery and military graveside honors will be conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2021.
Memorial contributions may be made to Old Union United Church of Christ, Edinburgh, IN, or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Born in Bartholomew County Dec. 9, 1919, Bob was the son of John A. Bozell and Ada Park Bozell. He married Arvilla Galyen June 22, 1954. She survives.
Also surviving are sons, Ken (Mary) Bozell of Rio Rancho, NM, and Keith (Rita Vaughn) Bozell of Butlerville, IN; grandchildren, Brian Bozell, Nichole Bozell, Kyle Bozell, Kellie Cortez, Kendell Bozell, Michelle Pino, and Nate Pino; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, John D., Clyde, and Ed Bozell.
