Kevin Andrew Honeycutt, 41, of Greensburg, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2013, at 7:11 a.m. in the emergency room of Decatur County Memorial Hospital. He was born on July 21, 1972, in Berea, Kentucky, the son of Andrew and Dolores Kay (Hazelwood) Honeycutt.
Kevin graduated from South Decatur High School in 1990 and received an Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University. He had worked at GECOM.
He enjoyed building model cars, rockets and planes and loved to watch his rockets go up and away. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf and just being outdoors.
Nothing brought Kevin more joy than seeing his girls and watching Sunday afternoon football with his Dad.
He is survived by his parents, Andrew and Dolores Kay Honeycutt of Westport; his daughters, whom he loved, Sydney Nadine Honeycutt and Olyvia Ann Honeycutt of Bloomington; his sister, Stephanie Michelle Honeycutt (Brian) Costa of Corpus Christi, Texas; and his nephew, Zakkary Halyn Costa of Corpus Christi, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ollie and Andrew Honeycutt, and his maternal grandfather, Boyd Lee Hazelwood.
Private services for the family will be held at Cox Cemetery in Morrill, Kentucky.
Memorial contributions may be made through Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport to the American Diabetes Association or to the Gift of Grace Account for Sydney and Olyvia Honeycutt at MainSource Bank.
