Lawrence Dwayne Greathouse, 60, of Seymour, died at 7 a.m. Sunday, October 20, 2013, at his residence.
He had worked for over 20 years with L.P. Cavett as a flagman and later as a driver. He enjoyed playing and singing gospel music.
Born September 13, 1953, in Jackson County, he was the son of Geneva Wilmoth, who survives in North Vernon, and Lawrence C. Greathouse, who preceded him in death on February 3, 1982. He married Tammy Carmer and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Charles (Heather Kellett) Greathouse and Steven (Kari Watters) Greathouse; a sister, Sharon (Bufard) Fields; and four grandchildren, Alexis Greathouse, Kaden Greathouse, Makayla Greathouse and Logan Greathouse.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother and his father.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown. The funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Joe Capplinger officiating, assisted by John Perkins. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour, Indiana.
