Katherine Marie Campbell Trueblood, 90, of Danville, IL, and formerly of Terre Haute, passed away at 9:25 a.m. (CST) Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at Colonial Manor in Danville. She was born in Edgar County, IL, June 2, 1923, to James Campbell and Nellie Hickman Campbell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver F. Trueblood, whom she married October 14, 1944.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Hogg of Danville, IL, and by two sons, David (Nancy) Trueblood of Columbus, IN, and Jim (Carolyn) Trueblood of Columbus, IN. Also surviving is one sister, Delores (Rocky) Nelson of Terre Haute. Katherine is also survived by six grandchildren, Brian (Tricia) Hogg, Doug (Jessica) Trueblood, Michelle White, Lori (Chad) Shaffer, Anne (Corey) Trobuagh, and Mike (Ali) Trueblood. In addition, she is survived by twelve great-grandchildren, Ashley Shields, Kailey White, Ariana Wyatt, Madeline Hogg, Abby Hogg, Cameron Trueblood, Ali Trueblood, Owen Shaffer, Ava Shaffer, Ethan Trobaugh, Morgan Trobaugh, and Bennett Trueblood, and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, John Hogg, and two brothers, Robert Campbell and Roy Campbell.
Katherine was a self-employed hairdresser and owned her own beauty shop for several years. She was a member of Oregon Baptist Church for over fifty years, Order of Eastern Star (Twelve Points Chapter), National Hairdressers Association, and the Red Hatters. She loved to travel.
Funeral services will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Monday, October 28, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. (EST), with Rev. David Garver officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, October 27, 2013, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. (EST) at the funeral home.
