Robert C. Bishop, 79, of Columbus, died at 9:10 a.m., Friday, October 25, 2013 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Robert was a former agriculture banker, serving as Vice President of credit and he was an aviation mechanic.
An Army veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Bishop was a Peace Corp volunteer and an avid pilot and motorcyclist.
He was a member of the Jacksonburg United Methodist Church in Jacksonburg, Ohio.
In keeping with Mr. Bishop's wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service will be at a later date.
Arrangements were made by Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home.

He was born in North Hampton, Ohio on January 8, 1934, the son of Robert F. and Lillian Hart Bishop.
He married Elizabeth Young on September 15, 1958.
Survivors include his wife, children, Kathryn (George) Eltzroth of Frankton and Howard (Susan) Bishop of Columbus; a sister, Clara Bishop of Petersburg; grandchildren, Katie Grabeman of King, N.C., Mary Grabeman of Frankton, Emily Bishop of Columbus and Davis Bishop of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
