Linda L. Long, 66, of Wandering Way, died at 8 a.m. Sunday, October 27, 2013, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Linda retired in 2013 after 10 years of service with Pregnancy Care Centers of South Central Indiana where she was a nurse manager. She became a registered nurse in 1968 and worked as a home care nurse.
She was a member of Community Church of Columbus where she served as a Sunday school teacher and a certified lay Biblical counselor. Over the years, she had served in many capacities in churches in children's, women's and music ministries and was a former church pianist. She also was a member of Smoking Cessation Committee.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Chuck Coleman and Tim Bond officiating. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service and private inurnment will be at Garland Brook Mausoleum at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pregnancy Care Centers of South Central Indiana or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Linda was born in New Castle, PA, September 17, 1947, the daughter of Howard T. and Grace I. Reynolds. She married Tom A. Long April 18, 1969.
Survivors include her husband; children, Gretchen E. Armer of Sonoma, CA, and Julie K. (Ryan) Howard of Charlottesville, VA; sisters, Judy Rice of Odenton, MD, and Nancy (Walter) Morgan of Sudbury, MA; and grandchildren, Sophie Armer and Lily, Addison and Rachael Howard.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
