Clara Genet Lowe, 86, of Pine Ridge Drive, died at 9:23 a.m. Thursday, October 24, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, fishing, sewing, embroidery and, most of all, oil painting.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Family and friends may call from 9 a.m. to time of service Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children.

Genet was born in Columbus on April 24, 1927, the daughter of Clyde and Florence Stretlmeier Brewer. She married Ivan E. Lowe on April 27, 1944. He preceded her in death on December 3, 1996.
Survivors include her children, Ivan Louis (Becky) Lowe of Columbus, Billy Joe (Linda) Lowe of Columbus, James Dean (Leah) Lowe of Greensburg, Jerry Richard (Teresa) Lowe of Columbus and Pamela (Russell) Dinsmore of Brown County; sisters, Beulah (James) Ross of Columbus, Mary (Joe) Ross Columbus and Susie (Carl) Kuhlman of Freetown; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
