Francis) Ann Hueftle, nee Dahn, died of cancer after a 2-year battle, on October 18, 2013, in Broomfield Colorado. She was 89.
Ann was born July 26, 1924, in Columbus, where she attended St. Bartholomew Catholic School and Columbus High School until 1942. She earned her R.N. at St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing in 1945. She moved to Denver, Colo., in 1946, where she met and married Gilbert Hueftle. Ann and Gib had six children in Denver. They lived in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, and Norfolk, Nebraska. Ann moved to Broomfield, Colorado, in 2006.
Ann is survived by her sister, Mart DeClue of Columbus; her six children: Jim (Karen) Hueftle of Butte, MT, Brad Hueftle of Albuquerque, NM, Karen Hueftle-Worley (Byron) of Grinnell, IA, Kent Hueftle of Westminster, CO, Susan Hueftle of Flagstaff, AZ, and John Hueftle (Kris Larsen) of Louisville, CO; and three granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J. Carl and Doris Dahn of Columbus, as well by her brothers, John, William, and Thomas Dahn, and her husband Gilbert.
Ann was cremated. A memorial service took place in Broomfield on Saturday, October 26.
Ann requested any donations be directed to The Hope Foundation cancer charity.
