David Blake Hanger, 25, of Columbus, passed away Sunday November 10, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.
Blake was born August 18, 1988, in Vincennes, the son of Brent Hanger and Barbara (Lindsey) Carman. He graduated from Columbus North High School and went on to receive a Bachelor's Degree from Butler University. Blake was currently a student at the Logan University College of Chiropractic and College of Health Science in Chesterfield, MO.
Blake is survived by his parents, Brent Hanger and Barbara Carman and her husband Andy; paternal grandparents, Julia and David Hanger of Oaktown; maternal grandparents, Dr. Daniel and Kay Combs of Vincennes and Bill and Brenda Lindsey of Hernando, FL; a brother, Brent Michael Devers and his wife Lindsay of Columbus; and nephew Brooks Devers.
Blake's family will receive friends on Saturday November 16, 2013 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Columbus North High School with a memorial service held at 5 p.m.
The family also requests that visitors dress casual. Gifts may be made in Blake's memory to Logan University, 1851 Schoettler Rd., Chesterfield, MO 63017, attention Pat Jones.
