Donald F. Petro, 79, of 13th Street passed away at 1:50 p.m. on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Donald was born in Columbus on August 23, 1934 to the late William F. and Dorothy A. Clouse Petro. He retired from Willey Music in 1984 and is a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of South Bethany Methodist Church and Columbus V.F.W. Donald married Donna Moore on March 30, 1957. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, bowling, go-cart racing, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Weaver and Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Virgil Clotfelter officiating.
Family and friends may view from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday from 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Bartholomew County Veterans Color Guard.

Donald is survived by his wife, Donna Petro; children, Elizabeth Rios, Donna Rose (Roberto) Barajas, and Penny Petro all of Columbus; sister, Betty (Harold) Walls of Columbus; 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Donald is preceded in death by his son, Rickie Lee Petro; daughters, Tina and Linda Petro; brothers, Johnny and Bobby Petro; a sister, Juanita Burton; and a half-sister, Mary Mourey.
