Mrs. Jean Alice Dutton, 65, of Elizabethtown, IN, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013, at IU Health Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born July 8, 1948, in Clarksville, IN, she was the daughter of Gerald and Virginia (Casey) Linn. On September 4, 1970, at Jonesville Christian Church, she married Michael Morris Dutton, who survives.
Mrs. Dutton was a member of Flat Rock Christian Church where she was very active in the TCM Ministry. She was retired from Bartholomew County Home for the Aged.
Jean loved to cook for the ladies of the Lodge. Always thinking of the needs of others, she made crocheting hats for the homeless one of her personal ministries.
Besides her husband, she is also survived by her sons, Nathan J. (Ra’chel) Dutton and Michael M. “Mick” (Stacy) Dutton II; grandsons Josiah, Joshua, Elijah, Noah, Cogan, Gavin, and Tristan; stepgrandsons, Daniel and Hunter; a sister, Regina (Steve) Crofts; and a niece, Elizabeth Crofts.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at Voss Chapel on Thursday, November 21, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Brian Ebersold officiating. Family and friends may call at Voss Chapel on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will take place at Bunker Hill Cemetery in Clark County.
