Kenneth Neal Darlage, 65, of Columbus, died at 10:52 a.m. Thursday, November 21, 2013, at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis.
Mr. Darlage retired in 2010 from Central Middle School where he had been a teacher for 40 years. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Waymansville and served on the board of directors at Bar-Cons Credit Union.
He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, playing and teaching music, playing horse shoes, and camping, but above all, being with family.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Waymansville with the Rev. John Beabout officiating. Family and friends may call from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street and from 9 a.m. to time of service Monday at the church. Burial will be at St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Mr. Darlage was born in Seymour on January 17, 1948, the son of Edwin H. and Doris Hall Darlage. He married Bonnie L. Staggs on August 30, 1969.
Survivors include his mother, of Seymour; his wife; children, Vincent Neal (Amanda) Darlage of Columbus, Charles Matthew (Sara) Darlage of Columbus, and Andrea Dianne (Matt) Halterman of Illinois; brothers, Paul (Maxine) Darlage of Seymour, Wayne (Nell) Darlage of Columbus and Richard (Rhonda) Darlage of Lafayette; grandchildren, Victor Darlage, Mikayla Darlage, Perry Darlage, Eric Brashears, Elizabeth (Jeremy) King, Joseph Brashears, Ian Halterman and Amelia Halterman; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
