Bonnie L. (Jordan) Reynolds, 84, of North Vernon, went to be with her Lord at 1:25 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at Willow Crossing Health & Rehabilitation Center in Columbus. She was born August 11, 1929, in Jennings County, the daughter of Hadley and Inez (Pierce) Jordan.
Mrs. Reynolds was a lifelong resident of Jennings and Bartholomew counties and graduated from Zenas High School. She retired in 1989 after 20 years of service at Cosco. She was a member of New Bethel United Methodist Church and the VFW Auxiliary in Columbus and enjoyed quilting, IU basketball, Cincinnati Reds baseball, spending time with her grandchildren, dancing and her dog “Little Bear.”
She married Robert L. Reynolds in Westport, on January 31, 1948, and he preceded her in death May 11, 1986.
Survivors include her daughters, Donna K. (Robert) Wells of North Vernon, Robin L. (Bruce) Parker of Columbus, Bobetta S. (Terry) Brown of North Vernon and Lisa J. (Dave) Smith of Westerville, Ohio; her son, Mark L. Reynolds of North Vernon; her sister, Peggy L. Johnson of Columbus; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a son, Michael L. Reynolds.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at New Bethel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Connie Barr officiating. Burial will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery south of Westport. A time of visitation will be held on Monday, December 2, 2013, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
