Mrs. Diane C. Blevins, 76, of Hayden, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Born September 8, 1937, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Merrill Meranda and Myrtle (Hauersperger) Baurley. Her stepfather was Bernard Baurley. On June 16, 1956, she married Jack L. Blevins, who survives.
Diane was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church at Four Corners. She was a great homemaker and baking was her passion. She loved to make pastries and was famous for her pies, which she even sold. She also loved square dancing, round dancing, and playing cards, especially euchre. Her greatest enjoyment was her children and her grandbabies.
Besides her husband she is survived by her children, Edward A. (Kim) Blevins, Larry W. (Becky) Blevins, Mary Rose (Jeff) Meece, Barbara J. (Ken) Harris, Joe A. Blevins, and James R. (Brandy) Blevins; grandchildren, Miranda Blevins, Kaitlyn Blevins, Andy (Saranda) Blevins, Amy (Ryan) Loudermilch, Owen Grider, Alicia (Matt) Barbour, Augustus Meece, Michael (Monica) Harris, Daniel Harris, Aaron (Susanna) Blevins, Adam Blevins, and Jacquelyn Blevins; great-grandchildren, Payton and Dillon Napier, Bailee Loudermilch, Andru Harris, Brady Samples, Carolyn Harris, Aaron Blevins, Jr., and Brynnaleigh Marie Blevins; and sisters-in-law, Susie Deaton, and Lois (Dennis) Brewer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather; a sister, Nancy Bevers; and a sister-in-law, Bernice Bowman.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Four Corners, on Saturday, November 30, at 10:00 a.m. with Father Jonathan P. Meyer officiating. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at Voss Chapel Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 until 9:30 a.m. There will be a Rosary at 4:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Condolences may be sent to the family through Voss Funeral Service and memorials may be made to the donor’s choice of charities through the funeral home.
