Melvin R. Brown, 72, of Milan, died at 10:50 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at Ripley Crossing in Milan.
Survivors include his sons, Scott E. Stout of Greenfield, Loren (Kathy) Brown of Milan and Randy (Valerie) Brown of Greenfield; his sisters, Edith Rance of Greenwood, Cindy Royer of Lebanon, Jantis “Gay” Findley of Indianapolis, Gloria “Jean” Andrus of Avon and Robin Alexander of Fort Myers, Florida; his brothers, Johnny Brown of Semmes, Alabama, Alvin Brown of Daytona, Florida, Glenn Brown of Greenfield, Ron Brown of Clermont and James Brown of Horse Cave, Kentucky; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi “Kim” Rork.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Charles Miller officiating. Burial will be at Westport Cemetery. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions made through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society.
