Charlotte G. Boulton, 91, of Columbus, passed from this life at 7:25 a.m. Sunday, December 8, 2013, at Brown County Health & Living Community in Nashville.
Mrs. Boulton graduated from Sayre Girl School in Lexington, KY, earned a degree in elementary music from Marion College in Marion, VA, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Butler University in 1957. She was an elementary school teacher with Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation, retiring in 1985 after 29 years of service.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, the church orchestra and choir, and Delta Kappa Gamma sorority. For several years, she was an architectural tour guide for the Columbus Visitor Center.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Chris Lantz officiating. Family and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until service time Friday. Inurnment will be at Garland Brook Mausoleum at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to First United Methodist Church or Columbus Symphony Orchestra.

Born in Crothersville August 8, 1922, Mrs. Boulton was the daughter of Roy and Jessee Owen Chasteen. She married Charles L. Boulton April 8, 1944. He preceded her in death April 16, 2000.
Survivors include her son, Michael (Joyce) Boulton of Bloomington; grandchildren, Matt (Lara) Boulton of Indianapolis and Melissa Cordon of Bloomington; and great-grandchildren, William and Andrew Boulton, and Avery, Ella, and Emelia Cordon.
Mrs. Boulton was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a son, Jack L. Boulton.
