Gladys L. Shelly, 85, of West Deaver Road, died at 6:10 p.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at Brown County Health & Living Community.
The funeral will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Family and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to time of service.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Flanner & Buchanan Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Mrs. Shelly was born in Indianapolis on November 3, 1928, the daughter of Francis and Dorothy Cummings Stark. She married Lawrence C. Shelly on June 26, 1946. He preceded her in death on February 8, 1985.
Survivors include her children, Lawrence Shelly of Seymour, Sharon (Jerry) McCray of Columbus, Dale (Debbie) Shelly of Brown County, Debbie (Ron) Pelley of Indianapolis, and Mindy (Terry) Johnson of Martinsville; a brother, Floyd Stark of Indianapolis; sisters, Georgia Carillo of Crawfordsville and Evelyn Mead of Atlanta, IN; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, three sisters, and a grandson, James C. Shelly.
