Glenna Mae Colwell Wright, 66, of North Vernon, formerly of Crothersville, passed away at 10:50 a.m. Sunday, December 15, 2013, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Born August 28, 1947, in Letcher County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Paul and Katherine Berry Colwell, who are both deceased. On April 13, 1963, she married Donald L. Wright who preceded her in death August 27, 2003.

Glenna worked at the former U.S. Shoe Factory in Crothersville for four years then retired from Valeo Sylvania in Seymour after 22 years of service. She was a member of United Christian Church in Paris Crossing, VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 1083 in Crothersville, and Coffee Creek Conservation Club. She enjoyed taking walks along the river, creek, and woods. Her favorite hobby was playing bingo and she loved to travel.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy (John) Scheible of Scipio and Kelly (Gwen Hutcheson) Norman of Crothersville; three grandchildren, Kasandra Norman Chapman of Crothersville, Steven (Emily) Norman of Seymour, and Kayla (Ryan) Russ of North Vernon; five great-grandchildren, Andrew Lynn Everage, Arissa Everage, Seneridy Cockerham, David Wade Chapman, and Jayden Don Russ; a brother, Lawrence (Lynetta) Colwell of Columbus; two sisters, Sallie (Kenny) Foster of Paris Crossing and Christine (Delmas) Carr of Seymour; eight nieces and nephews; a great-niece, Isabella Sexton; a nephew, Zane Sexton; and a niece, Paula Sexton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a granddaughter, Keri Sue Minor.

Pastor Damon Marling will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 2013, at Adams Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville, with burial to follow at Crothersville Cemetery.

Friends may visit on Wednesday, December 18, 2013, from 4 until 8 p.m. and after 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may made to the American Cancer Society, in care of Adams Funeral Home, 110 E. Howard St., Crothersville, IN 47229.
