Richard A. "Drews" Andrews, 45, of Columbus, died at 3:01 p.m. Monday, December 16, 2013, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility with his lifelong friends at his bedside.
Richard worked at Omron Scientific, traveling the world as an installation manager. He was an Army veteran and held an Associate's Degree in electrical engineering technology from ITT Technical Institute.
Richard enjoyed riding his Harley, gaming and watching sports with his friends. He was an avid Notre Dame and Florida State football fan and he loved IU sports, the Indianapolis Colts and for reasons we do not understand, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Richard was a very private man and has requested that no services take place.
Arrangements were made by Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Bartholomew County Humane Society.
Richard's family would like to thank the employees of Silver Oaks Health Campus and Transcare Ambulance Service for their exceptional care and maintaining his dignity throughout his illness.
