Naomi Rose Chambers, 80, of West Old Nashville Road, passed from this life Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at her home.
Mrs. Chambers sold advertising for the Logan Banner in West Virginia earlier in life and retired from Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation where she was the librarian at Rock Creek and Clifty Creek Elementary schools.
She formerly served and was a former member of the Ogilville Christian Church and was a current member of Elizabethtown Christian Church. She was a member of Red Hat Society and Lizettes Home Ec Club.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Garland Brook Mausoleum.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Elizabethtown Christian Church.

Born in Chapmanville, WV, April 23, 1933, Mrs. Chambers was the daughter of Dennis Lee and Martha Jane Godby Jordan. She married F. Doran Chambers June 11, 1954.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years; children, Denise (Dale) Elder of Columbus and Mark (Jennifer) Chambers of Columbus; grandchildren, Jordan, Morgan, and Elizabeth Elder, and Claire, Chloe, and Paul Joseph "PJ" Chambers; a sister, Joan Fortner of Logan, WV; and a brother-in-law, Harvey Miller of Chapmanville, WV.
Mrs. Chambers was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Frances Miller and Lucille Runyon.
