Patricia Louise Eggersman, 89, of North Vernon,  passed away at 6:25 a.m. Friday, December 20, 2013 at King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison.

Mrs. Eggersman was born on March 1, 1924 in North Vernon, the daughter of Charles H. and Helen Agnes Wetzel Hill. She married Donald E. Eggersman on April 27, 1956. He preceded her in death January 7, 1990.

Mrs. Eggersman was employed as a bookkeeper for the former Muscatatuck State Development Center in Butlerville,and was a beautician.

She was a graduate of North Vernon High School and a graduate of Beautician School. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in North Vernon.

She enjoyed quilting, playing cards, going on family picnics and cookouts at the farm. She also loved dogs.

She is survived by her son, Steve (Donna) Shepherd of North Vernon; four grandchildren, Kelly (Gary) Shepherd Pruitt and Dale (Stephanie ) Shepherd, both of North Vernon, Brad (Dawn) Shepherd of Dupont, and Jenni (Eric) Barnett of Columbus; nine great-grandchildren, Braden Nading and Blakli (Lucas) Wehmiller both of Seymour, Hailey Shepherd Risacher, Josh Barnett and Jerrica Barnett, all of Columbus,  Hunter Shepherd, Chase Shepherd, Ashley Pittman, Hunter Pittman, Kenzie and Brinley, all of North Vernon; and two great-great-grandchildren, Allie Nading of Alabama and Gage Barnett of Columbus.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a sister, Eleanor Elrod.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1p.m. Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with the Rev. Marvin Sweet officiating. Friends may call at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services Saturday, December 21, 2013 from 4 until 8 p.m. and from noon until service time on Sunday. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery.
